Buddhism has literally disappeared from the country of its origin. When all things seemed to be lost, a great man Dr. Ambedkar emerged in India who showed us the enlightened path of the Buddha and thus brought the joy back in the life of millions of Indians by converting us into Buddhism on 14th Oct. 1956 at Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur. But, we must remember that it was just a first step towards the larger goal of making India a Buddhist country, and there are lot of things to be done to achieve it.
Buddhist Revival Charitable trust is an International Organisation dedicated to revive Buddhism in India and neighbouring countries in its original form, as envisaged by our great revolutionary leader, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The BRCT which came into form after having a thought full discussion with Ven. Arayawangso Mahathero Guruji, renown Monk from Thailand. Since last 4 years, Ven. Arayawangso Mahathero Guruji, frequently visited india and took a lots of Dhamma progg in Various part of country, he was searching for serious dhamma leaders in india to start Dhamma Activities. After a long discussion while he visited in last dec 2010, the idea of BRCT came out, and The them was developed on 26/12/2010.
We at BRCT, will be working to fulfill his dream of making India, a Buddhist country as it was in earlier times. And also work towards creating a new socio-economic society based on principles of Buddhism i.e. based on equality fraternity and liberty prescribed in the Constitution of India. Series of discussions were held between highly respected Monks, both from India and other Buddhist countries and also between Dhrama workers and Intellectual class of the Society. It is worthwhile here to mention that these discussions were held under the guidance of most Ven. Arayawangso, a very respected and senior forest Monk from Thailand, fondly called as Guruji by his Indian followers. Guruji has a dream of spreading Buddhism throughout India and wants that the India should take lead in this and others would help them to achieve it. It is worthwhile to mention here that he has also helped in writing and publishing a Book on Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Thailand in Thai language recently. Guruji is the Chief Patron of BRCT.
The main guiding leader in this movement is our beloved upasak, a great Dhamma worker and a most outstanding bureaucrat, Ayu. Ratnakar Gaikwad, IAS who is presently Chief Secretary of Maharashtra. It is under his guidance and supervision the missions of spreading the Buddhism has been conceived and is taking shape now. It is worth while to mention here that it was his idea to name the trust as Buddhist Revival Charitabloe Trust , the name itself speaks about the aims and objective of it.
Most Ven. Bodhipalo Mahathero is the Chairman of the BRCT . Ven Bodhipalo Bhanteji is a very learned Monk, who studied Dhamma teachings and its intricacies in Thailand for 18 years, has build a monastery and vihara at Chaubha village, near Aurangabad. An expert in Pali cannon, well know for his knowledge and practice of Dhmrma and meditation, he is respected a lot. He has travelled many countries and can speak English, Hindi, Marathi, Pali, Thai and sinhalese languages. He is ardent follower of Dhamma and great admirer of Dr. Ambedkar and is our spiritual leader, leading the movement of revival of Buddhism in India.
We know that the task ahead of us is very difficult but we are sure of ourselves that we are on the right path. The goal we want to achieve will take a long time but then if we do not try no one will. So, with this thought in our mind, we formed this organisation. Within no time, we have been receiving lot of support from the Society. Various activities are being planned by BRCT, the details of which will be told to you as and when they are finalized. Ours may sound very lofty ideas, but with Buddha’s teachings with us and the force of honest Dharma workers with us, we will be able to achieve our dream.
It is our sincere request to all upasakas to join hands with us to liberate ourselves.
This will creat history in India.

We have long way to go, lets make India proud by becoming gem in the buddhist movement of India!
